Kids enjoy moms and muffins
Everyday moms around the world do everything they can for their children and families and every year one day is set aside to recognize this hard work. Mother's Day can be filled with many activities and small tokens of gratitude, but it is always extra special when moms get recognition by
their smallest charges.
Cobblestone Elementary held "Muffins for Mom" a celebration for its student's mothers.
"Spending the morning munch'n on muffins with my kiddos was the highlight of my day!" said Christine Bratton, mom of a kindergartener and second-grader at the school.
More than 70 moms showed up to participate in the event in which the school sold tickets to moms and their kids that included their choice of a muffin and juice.
The students were dismissed from the classes to come and spend some special time with mom before returning to their studies.
The elementary district, which values the significance of providing parent-student opportunities, will be hosting in celebration of Father's Day, a "Donuts for Dad" day at Rio Del Oro Elementary on May 30th. For more information contact Rio Del Oro at (530) 749-0690.
