What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? The wide open spaces and orchards..

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? The Amazon, so I could see first-hand all of the magnificent creatures that live there.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I once passed by the filming of "Jersey Shore" on my way to lunch.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? To end disease so that everyone could have the blessing of good health.

Favorite musical group: The Band Perry.

Favorite television show: "The Big Bang Theory."

Favorite sports team: Buffalo Sabres (hockey).

Whom do you most admire? My teacher and Kuk Sool instructor Mr. Tejada because he has taught me about hard work, dedication and to always do my best and try my hardest, even if I'm tired or no one's watching.

Tell us about a life-changing experience: Attending MCAA — I've met so many brilliant and wonderful people, students and staff alike, who are not only well beyond talented but also full of kindness and compassion. The atmosphere they set forth has made school about more than learning. It became about forming a community in which we can support and encourage each other.

What was your first job? Writing as a student columnist this fall will be my first job.

Do you have any pet peeves? When people become too busy to take a moment for someone else.

What is your favorite/least favorite subject in school? I absolutely love math and art; health class, not quite so much.

Favorite places in the area? The American or Feather rivers.
