• What keeps you in the Plumas Lake area? We have made our home here. We are involved in the community and love our new friends and neighbors.

• What aspects about the community attracted you here initially? Both Ron and I come from small communities and watched as they grew. We loved the idea of being on the ground floor again, so to speak. And, the difference in home prices was a definite plus.

• Do you belong to any clubs or organizations in the community? I'm in the process of chartering the GFWD-Plumas Lake Women's Club. This is a service organization for anyone, no specific requirements to join, that does projects similar to the Plumas Lake toy drive I helped coordinate last year. In the meantime, I participate with another local chapter, that provides a "baby shower by mail" to women whose husbands are deployed. I play bunco with the 2nd Monday Bunco club. I'm also a member of the Plumas Lakers Book Group.

• If you were in charge, what would you change about the Plumas Lake community? How about this, I would find a way to motivate people to take down their garage sale signs when the sale is over. Love going to garage sales, love the signs, but people need to take them down. Show you care about your community by keeping it clean.
