• What keeps you in the Plumas Lake area? Well, other than the home values, friends. If we could move out of the area we wouldn't. A community like ours is truly priceless. It is not very often that you can walk out your front door and have at least 10 different friends you could drop in on for a quick chat and a cup of coffee.
• What aspects about the community attracted you here initially? The large yards and the fact that we could actually afford a home.
• Do you belong to any clubs or organizations in the community? I am finishing up my last month as vice president of the Plumas Lake Moms Group and will remain an active member. Any group that offers Bunco, wine club and a chance to get out of the house with and without my kids cannot be a bad thing.
• If you were in charge, what would you change about the Plumas Lake community? I could say that I look forward to a gas station, grocery store and Starbucks, but those will all come in time. Really, I am going to enjoy our community just as it is because before we know it will be as busy as Roseville and we'll be saying, ‘Do you remember when?'
• What are your favorite places to go in Yuba-Sutte area? As a family we really enjoy Bishops Pumpkin Patch; the kids love the train and I love the corndogs. The Gauche water park is also great fun for the kids. And the new park right here in Plumas Lake is fabulous.
• If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Health, happiness and a very long life for all those I love. I can only hope that I'll be so lucky to rock the babies of my grandchildren to sleep in my arms.
• Favorite musical group: I love kids' music, the sillier the better. My favorite is Laurie Berkner.
• Favorite television show: With the kids give me a cute episode of "Hannah Montana." With my husband I enjoy an occasional movie usually a comedy. However, this is rare and far between considering the TV is dominated by back-to-back episodes of "Diego" or football. If I get up extra early for a cup of coffee I love to watch "Brothers and Sisters," which I record weekly.
• Favorite sports team: I have no specific team and prefer the sport with the shortest season.
• Who do you most admire and why? My mom. I can't describe why, I just do. She is fantastic.
• Tell us about a life-changing experience: Meeting my husband and holding my children for the first time. I never knew of a love so great until I looked into the faces of my babies.
• How would you describe yourself? Spunky, worrisome, funny, well-meaning, but not always well-mannered.
• What kind of pets do you have? A dog - DeeDee - and Henry the cat.
• What was your least favorite subject in school? Math
