What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? When my husband ended his time in the military, my parents had moved here, to Plumas Lake, from the Bay Area. I wanted to be near my parents when we decided to have kids.
Where would you like to live someday? Saipan — that's where my family is from. I lived there for a while as a child with my grandparents.
What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I went to a Formula 1 car race with my dad and got to meet (TV's "Coach") Craig T. Nelson and get his autograph.
If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? That my kids — all kids — get to go to college.
Whom do you most admire? My mom — she was a single mom until I was 10 years old, worked two to three jobs at one time. She taught me a lot and never asked for anything back.
Who has been a strong influence on your life? My husband. He was in the military — we decided on Monday to get married and got married on Saturday at Lake Tahoe. It was cool to grow up, mature, together. November is our nine-year anniversary.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A professional gymnast. I was going to do gymnastics forever.
Favorite places in the area: Plumas Street — I like to go walking there even if I have nothing do to there. Parks — I take my kids to different parks.
What is your dream job? Working in traditional animation. I went to the Academy of Arts for two years.
What are some of your fondest memories? My grandfather owned a fishing boat in Saipan. He would take us out — we could swim around his boat while he fished.
What would you change about the community? Send more funding to our local schools.
What is your pet peeve? When people are rude in traffic — cutting in on you or tailgating — especially with kids in the car.
