How weather affected one grower

Sutter County grower Reece Cordi stopped growing almonds on his land.

"Mother Nature took it out of production," Cordi said of the almond crop. High winds in 2008 damaged his orchard. "We decided after 20 years of fighting that it's time to change crops," Cordi said of the switch. He now grows grapes and olives.
