Lockdown at Lincoln Elementary School lifted

Lincoln Elementary School campus was temporarily locked down today after a report of a man with a gun in the area, school officials said.

Authorities received a 911 call sometime after noon about a man with gun outside a convenience store near the school.

However, school officials said, there was never a threat to campus. Classes were briefly interrupted because of the incident.

The school was locked down from about 12:05 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Sutter County sheriff’s deputies and Yuba City police officers responded to the scene.

More information will be reported as it becomes available.
