Deputies: Linda man gets meth charge after dropping off kids
A month-long investigation led to a west Linda man being arrested this week on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and other charges, just after dropping off his kids at school.
Robert McCommas, 36, was arrested Thursday morning after NET-5 agents stopped him after the drop-off and searched both his vehicle and, with a search warrant, his home on the 900 block of Kay St.
Agents found more than three grams of meth in the vehicle search, and an unregistered handgun and about 10 pounds of marijuana at his home, according to a Yuba County Sheriff’s Department press release. McCommas had the marijuana under a legal Proposition 215 prescription, but the investigation determined he’d traded some of it for methamphetamine.
McCommas was booked into Yuba County Jail on suspicion of multiple drug charges, possession of a firearm with special circumstances, and child endangerment.
