Yuba County judge in stable condition after crash

A Yuba County judge remains hospitalized following last night’s three-car crash in Yuba City along Market Street.

Judge Debra L. Givens was listed in stable condition Wednesday morning at Rideout Regional Medical Center in Marysville. [Read previous story]

Mercedes Brockman, 23, of Yuba City, was also listed in stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Given was waiting to turn left from Market Street onto Lynn Way around 5:15 p.m. when her BMW 325 was struck by Brockman’s Jeep 4x4, police said.

The collision pushed Givens’ car into a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Manjit Gill of Yuba City.

Gill, 54, was not hurt, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
