Plumas Lake soccer league finds great success
The Plumas Lake section of the Yuba Sutter Youth Soccer League is enjoying great success and providing many opportunities
for children ages 4-12 who are residents of Plumas Lake. This is the first year the area has had enough players to establish its own section, with more than 125 players and 12 teams. In years past, children wanting to play were combined with surrounding areas, such as Olivehurst and Linda.
According to the Plumas Lake area manager, this year was so successful that 25 players were turned away because of a lack
of coaches for the number of teams needed.
The league hopes to continue its success in this area in years to come as more players move to Plumas Lake.
The Plumas Lake teams play against other teams in the area. All games are held on Saturdays during the season at the Wheeler
Auto Group Soccer Complex, at Riverfront Park in Marysville.
While the season is already half over for the year, families interested in participating next year as either players or coaches
should check the Yuba Sutter Youth Soccer League Web site at www.yubasuttersoccer.com for registration and volunteer
information.
